Item SL354: 1873 cobalt cut to clear scent bottle with a lovely repousse sterling lid. Hallmarked for the City of London, marked for the year 1873. Also carries the initials of the silver company, which I wasn’t able to find in my references (“JE”). The bottle has a superb design, as the photos show. There is no damage or restoration to the piece. A rather large scent bottle:3¾ x 2 in. The sterling hinged lid is in excellent condition. There may be the slightest of dents in the lid--unseen, but the top of the lid seems a bit lower on one side. A wonderful scent bottle and certainly a fine addition for a collection.

Item SL319: Baccarat crystal bottles in exquisite silver metal & glass presentation box, c. 1900. Wonderful set of Baccarat flacons, unsigned, but unmistakably from this French glass house. Refer to the reference, Baccarat les flacons a parfum, model #2. There are four bottles, each of the finest crystal, with etched numbers & having a polished pontil. Each bottle is exquisite in that it doesn’t appear that they were ever used for perfume--each is “crystal clear.” Two bottles and all stoppers are in excellent condition. Two bottles have rim chips. One is quite small, the other is a significant chip with a hairline internal crack on the shoulder of the bottle. I have had the set for over 20 years & the condition of the bottles has been perfectly stable. There is a satin interior and trim around the beveled glass “window” on the lid. Each bottle fits snugly into a display area. The casket is made of brass with silver plate. There is wear, however, the gold and silver colors are really striking. There are classical maidens that circle the base. There is a latch present that secures the lid. The lid has a black material in excellent condition & is the border for the large oval window through which one can view the bottles. I have more photos available. I am offering this at a bargain price because of the damage. The set, however, displays beautifully & is a real treasure. Bottles, 3 1/4 x 1 1/4 in. Casket, 4 x 7 in.

Item SL314: European late 19th century scent bottle of rock crystal with applied filigree of gilded silver, matching hinged top and ring for a chatelaine. This is such a beautiful piece. It is very heavy for its size--much too heavy to be crystal or glass. With magnification (through the filigree) the bottle has that beautiful pristine clear appearance that only rock crystal achieves. The gilded silver filigree is exquisite in its fine detail--decorated with flowers, scrolls, and hearts. The lid is hinged and has the same type of filigree on the top. It is all original & works perfectly. It would have had a tiny glass dauber, but is no longer present. There is no damage to the scent bottle of any type. Scent bottle 1.4 x 2 in. The chain adds an additional 2 in. From my personal collection.

Item RO91: Antique Sterling "Walnut" with Perfume, Compact & More.
I wasn't quite sure what to call this item. I was going to call it an etui or compendium, or necessaire, but it could also be a locket. Anyway, for the description: the walnut opens to expose a small scent bottle with velvet lining inside a brass casing on one side. There are several dress needles stuck inside the lining. The other side has a photo frame (the picture inside it is included free, ha!). The picture frame lifts to expose a little mirror and a powder area complete with the original little feather powder puff. The interior rim of the walnut is marked "Sterling 925". It measure just under 2" in length, and about 1 1/4" across the widest part. There is a jump ring to attach it to a chain or chatelaine, and there are no dents or damage that I can detect. It's just a cute and different little item.

Item RG274: Beautiful cobalt blue double ended Victorian Perfume Bottle. The side that held perfume has a crystal stopper & the part that held the smelling salts is lined with cork but I don't know if it too was supposed to have the glass stopper. The perfume stopper lifts off while the smelling salts is a screw on silver stopper. The silver stoppers are delicately engraved, super workmanship. It is just under 4 inches long & as far as I can see in excellent condition.

RG1892: What a great addition to your collection for
those of you who like vintage bottles of quality. Bought some years
ago in France. It stands nearly 5 inches high, a deep ruby red with a
lovely gold scrolling pattern over the ruby Glass. The stopper is also
lavishly decorated in the same gold motif. Just a beauty. I was told
it had been made in France circa. 1880. There are a few minor areas
where there is a small amount of gold loss but it is not apparant unless
one is looking for it. To purchase or ask questions, contact seller Rona Drewell |

RG1346: This is a beautiful vintage bottle with a very unusual
design. It stands just under 4 inches high with a round silver stopper
& a wide silver band around the neck. The design is truly
intricate but difficult to describe. The front & back each have
3 vertical rows of slight oval depressions The sides have three stars
& two round depressions. The colour is a deep ruby cut to
clear. The bottle tapers very slightly from top to bottom. If
you like vintage bottles you will love this lovely example. I would
think it is either English or French. To purchase or ask questions, contact seller Rona Drewell |
