| Item SL559: Rare 1800s Dutch Scent Bottle,2 HP Scenes,Sterling
This offering is for a laydown scent bottle, from the Netherlands, circa 1860. The bottle is made of heavy crystal and has many cuts & "angles". The bottle has two scenes, both hand decorated with a burgundy tinged red enamel. A Chinese Mandarin is featured on one side, and a beautiful scene, with birds, on the other side. The lid is sterling silver (tested as such). The crystal botttle is in excellent condition, with no chips, cracks, restoration or missing enamel. However, the lid has a split--you may contact me for more photos. Splits are very common with dutch silver due to its fragile nature-thin walls. The size is 5" x 1 5/8" x 7/8". It has a sword mark. Weight 96 grams. Gorgeous! Rare! A must for the serious collector.

| Item ED240: Victorian Chatelaine Cranberry Encased Scent Perfume - This is a gorgeous Perfume Scent Bottle that is highly enameled and has gold decorations. The pictures do not do this bottle justice. It is cranberry glass encased with clear glass . It's shape is unique unto itself. It opens about one quarter of the way down with a gold tone metal decoration and hinge. The hinge does not close tight and is either slightly bent so it won't latch (as a local jeweler thought when I brought it to him) or maybe a piece of the latch is missing but it doesn't look like it has anything broken off. The inner repousse is missing. The enameling is pastel blues, pink , green and yellow. The gold decoration covers the bottle like branches for the flowers to attach to. It is in very nice condition with no chips or flea bites. It is 6 5/8" in length. This would be a great addition to any collection.
