Item SL476: Art deco figural perfume cases are very scarce and very collectable. Here we have three cases, two made of butterscotch colored bakelite of varying shades, the third made of a similar material but not bakelite. 1) The Pierette is very well done--a ruffled collar, large buttons, a skull cap and fine facial features. It contains a tiny cylindrical shaped perfume bottle with a glass stopper/attached dauber. Excellent condition--just a bit of wear on the skull cap. Ht: 2 ¾ in. $65 2) The tallest, a Chinese Mandarin, wears his ethnic hat, has a curled mustache. He has a darker color, with more yellow, than the Pierette. He is in very good condition with light wear on the collar and hair. His facial features are in excellent condition. He lost his perfume bottle quite some time ago, but one can find them pretty easily--it was on my "To Do" list, but never got done. This is a most unusual case and quite a prize for a collection. $65 3) An art deco lady, with a flapper hair style is the third figural case. She has finely painted facial features, with a little bow shaped mouth. There is a uniform very thin circle of wear on her hair (in back). There is a raised mark on the base, but I can’t make it out. She, too, is without her little bottle. She is the shortest at 2 5/8 in. $35

Stands 4 inches tall & the detail is amazing. H/D puts out several wonderful catalogues every few months but it is difficult to find a perfume bottle.
