Item RG548: Calendal "Les Brise Parfumees" Molinard. This super old bottle dating from the 1930's is in excellent condition. It has two labels which show a minimal amount of age & the bottle is a very pretty one standing about 2 1/2" tall & with a gold screw-on atomizer with the glass "pipette" reaching well into the bottle. A tiny amount of the perfume remains & in spite of the age doesn't smell too bad at all. The bulb has hardened but the hardware is in perfect condition so it could easily be replaced. Bottle made in Grasse, France.

Item RG672: "Capture" by Langeais. This attractive vintage bottle, French made around 1940 contained 1 fl. ounce of perfume. I am unsure if the bottle has ever been opened as the stopper is stuck but as you can see from the picture there is some loss of perfume through evaporation. The label is in very good condition as is the bottle. It comes in the original box coloured in a light cedar shade. The box is in pristine condition. This bottle is rarely seen & will be a nice addition to your vintage collection.

Item RG701: "Carnegie Pink Cologne" by Hattie Carnegie This delightful package is still sealed in the cello wrap with a luxurious pink paper inside & over that a delicate pink ribbon. I have often wanted to open it but it is far to pretty to do so. It contains 4 ounces of "Pink" cologne. On the inside of the cello wrap is written "Carnegie Pink Cologne. A delicate feminine fragrance that leaves an aura of charm in everyone's memory."

Item CK1: Carnet de BAL Extrait. First introduced in 1935 by world renowned REVILLION of PARIS, this lovely never been opened bottle of CARNET de BAL Extrait is from the late 30's-early 40's. In mint condition, it retains its original wax covered gold cord that is found delicately wrapping around the collar. Although having some evaporation, its classicly feminine fragrance can be found when holding this lovely bottle up to your nose. A beautiful example of French crystal, its original glass dauber is completely intact & can be seen delicately tapering downward. The crystal stopper is cut in a cube style with each edge having a slight facet cut. On the front & back of the bottles base, you'll find a small rounded "ledge" giving it an added sense of elegance & style. Embossed in the glass on the backside is REVENTE INTERDITE while the bottom is embossed with MADE IN FRANCE. This lovely perfume would surely make a welcome addition to your collection.

Item GD61: Cashmere Boxed Set. This is a charming miniature boxed set created to be used as a weekend package. It holds a bar of Cashmere Bouquet, a bottle that once contained La France Rose Water and the second bottle held Violet Water. The bottles measure 2 1/4" and have metal screwtops, labels are great! The box sadly is not in pristeen condition. Looks like it's old and has a corner, which I have photographed that is torn. Item RG1389: "Celui" Parfum by Jean Desses. This is such
a beautiful bottle in a lovely cream & gold box. The outside of the
box is in excellent condition, very clean with 2 deep gold colored labels
which read "Parfum, Celui de Jean Desses, Paris. There is some perfume
staining on the inside of the box which is not seen when the bottle is in
place. The bottle is semi-opaque with a glass stopper & gold
cord around the neck. I don't think this bottle has been opened but it has
lost nearly one half of the 1 ounce contents due to evaporation. Bottle is
3 1/8 inches high & the box 3 3/4 inches. A very lovely vintage

Item RG552: "Chypre Imperial" Bienaime Paris. This vintage bottle would make a splendid addition to any collector who loves the old commercial bottles. The body of the bottle is all clear glass with 3 even tiers with cuts all around which makes for a very attractive bottle. It measures app. 3 1/2 inches in height & 3 inches wide. The label is in excellent condition. The stopper is removable with some tiny flea bites to the end of the stopper. The bottle is nearly half full of perfume which still smells nice. I love this bottle but if I had to choose between the box & the bottle I would be hard pressed to decide which I preferred. The box shows some signs of age but the graphics are just breathtaking. It looks like the ornate paintings from Persia showing a "Caravan" of exotically draped elephants covered in gold, red, & blue. The inside of the box is lined in magenta with gold trim. If I were only articulate enough to do justice to this fantastic presentation.

Item BL9: Coty perfume, unidentified but elegant. This is a very nice old Coty perfume bottle. I believe Lalique may have designed the stopper on this one and it is gorgeous. This is the large dresser bottle with thick glass and is 100% perfect and can be used. I only wish it had it's label but it was gone when I got it. Coty embossed on bottom. Item RG304: Coty "Complice" One of the most desirable presentations I've seen, consisting of 5 separate items in an attractive box. I have only opened three as I used my own Complice "Tiara" bottle so I was able to leave that one in the cello wrap. The other items consist of a soap box with a Complice bar of soap, a perfume atomizer for the handbag, a large atomizer of EDT (1.7 ounces), the Tiara bottle containing .50 fl. oz & a splash bottle of EDT containing 2 ounces. Item GP6: Crabapple by Rieger Perfumer. Flasklike bottle with a molded frosted glass stopper. It is not stuck and comes out easily. Rieger produced perfumes between the 1900's and 1920's. The bottle measures 3.5" tall with two embossed labels on the front. One says "Crabapple" and the other says "Rieger Perfumer" The label you can see on the back of the bottle is from an auction. I will leave that for the new owner to clean off. It comes in its original box with gorgeous graphics of birds and leaves in beautiful fall colors and the words "Rieger Perfumer" embossed in gold. Shows a little wear but still complete and beautiful. |
